M4 Money Credit Union is looking for a dynamic Community Engagement Officer to join us on a 12-month contract. In this vital role, you’ll identify and develop opportunities to expand our membership, increasing active participation in the credit union. You’ll build meaningful connections across communities in Harrow, Hillingdon, Brent, Berkshire, and Buckinghamshire, helping us make a lasting impact.
What you’ll do:
• Be a Community Champion: Build strong relationships with local organisations, housing associations, and businesses to increase awareness of M4 Money’s services.
• Forge strategic partnerships: Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with payroll partners to expand access to payroll saving and loan services.
• Grow with us: Drive membership growth by identifying and pursuing new opportunities to connect with the community and expand our service offerings.
• Make an impact: Track your progress by reporting on key metrics to the M4 Money Board, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
• Plan for success: Develop and implement a community engagement plan aligned with our marketing strategy, guiding your weekly and monthly activities.
• Spread the word: Create engaging marketing materials and deliver clear presentations to promote the credit union’s benefits.
• Be our voice: Represent M4 Money with at community events, activities and meetings.
Are you the perfect fit?
• You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with ease.
• You have strong organisational and time management skills
• You have a passion for helping others and making a positive impact
• You’re a self-starter with a “can-do” attitude, tackling challenges head-on
• Prior experience in community engagement or a related field is a plus
• Knowledge of the credit union, its operations and of the credit union’s goals and developments
• Understanding of relevant regulatory issues and constraints
